Graduated with BDS from University of Birmingham in 1993, Followed by 2 years of Oral surgery training archived FDS from Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Glasgow and England. In 1996 started Medical school at UCL and was selected for the MB-PhD program, graduating with both MBBS and PhD in 2003. Higher surgical training was undertaken in London Hospitals. Completed training with the award of FRCS in 2011. Appointed as a consultant in OMFS at Royal Free London where in 2013 become the lead and subsequently the clinical director of the head neck service.
Appointed as a Associate Professor in the department of Surgery at UCL supervising PhD and MSc student and lecturing in the Plastics surgery MSc course. In 2019 was appointed as the Editor in Chief of BJOMS.
